A Sneak Peek at The Share What You Love Suite
Hello everyone, I'm so happy you've stopped by today. I've got a fun sneak peek for you today; not only am I using products from the Share What You Love Suite (available now for everyone) but you're getting a look at the cards I'm sending out alongside the new catalogs!
When I received the Lined Alphabet stamp set, I kept thinking it would be a fun way to get customers excited about the new products. With this in mind, I began stamping and die-cutting a bunch of "OMG" letters! Because, seriously, how can you see the new catalog and not think "Oh, My Gosh?"
Just Add Color
For my first card today, I cut out some flowers from the Share What You Love DSP, and used another pattern for the background. Next, I flipped over a Pearlized Doily and colored it with a combination of Light Calypso Coral and Ivory Stampin' Blends. The card base itself as well as the letters are made from the returning favorite, Mint Macaron. A few Stampin' Dimensionals later, and OMG, how cute is this card?
Petal Pair Embossing Folders and Fussy Cut Florals
You'll notice all three cards today have touches of Mint Macaron to them; from card bases, to backgrounds, matting, and even bling! TO say that this color is an amazing addition to the lineup is an understatement! For this card, I used one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders to create a simply background, topped it with two banners easily made with the Banner Triple Punch.
After a few minutes of fussy cutting an area about 3 1/2" square, I ended up with all these fun flowers to layer from the Share What You Love DSP. The bit of shimmer from the pearlized flowers is just stunning. I hit the shaded areas on all the other flowers with some Wink of Stella before giving my Old Olive letters the same treatment.
This final card is my favorite, and when you find out how simple it is to make, you'll for sure say OMG! I mentioned in a post last week that using re-inkers (ink refills) in a spritzer was a favorite technique of mine. Here, I've used it on 3 elements with amazing results.
I should say first that I used alcohol instead of water, as I wanted quick dry time and no warping. I began with the bakground, which received two good sprays. Next, I set my letters up and spritzed them. Finally, I used the technique on a Pearlized Doily I had already colored with a Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend. The mix of the Alcohol Ink Blends with the Spritzed Alcohol Ink created such a fun look!
That's all I have for you today. Be sure to check back next week for a few more OMG cards featuring the Nature's Poem Suite! And don't forget that if you love the Share What You Love Suite, you can take part in a special Customer Pre-Release going on now (get the details in this post).
