Small Acts of Kindness and Love
For those of you who don't know me personally, I am a geek. A Star Wars obsessed, video game playing bookworm. And I sport this mantle with pride. My inspiration for today's cards stems from JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
I finally was able to sit down with the Waterfront Stamp Set to try painting with stamps. This technique is the latest rage with the release of this set. It's as simple as stamping your scene then going over it with an aqua painter (water only!) This softens the lines from the stamps and creates a tiny masterpiece every time.
I Am Looking For Someone To Share In An Adventure
My first thought upon seeing the wizard in the Magical Day set was Santa (you can see that card here), but the second was Gandalf. He's been on my mind for a couple o months but it wasn't until I got my hands on the Waterfront Stamp Set that the setting became clear. Please come with me to The Shire, home of the second breakfast.
One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor
Once you get started, it's hard to stop painting with stamps. Before I retire the Magical Day set for the month, I wanted to pop one last dragon card out. What better place than Mordor, home of Mount Doom, under Sauron's watchful eye?
I hope you've enjoyed the journey to Middle Earth. Any liberties taken were not meant to offend the legions of Lord of the Rings fans; yet merely to accommodate my medium. I'll see you back here next week for more projects!
