Sharing my journey from SAHM to small business owner
After years in the workforce, I stepped away when my daughter was born in 2014. This year I have refocused on building my collection and preparing to share this new phase of life with my readers.
Putting Passion Behind Years of Creative Expression
Meet Merit Brown, the owner and creative force behind (mb)² designs
While this is my first shot at owning my own business, I come to the table with over ten years experience in retail shop management. I spent years building relationships with repeat clients in the custom picture framing industry, preserving their artwork and memories. It was a great pleasure for me working with art every day and having creative expression at every turn. I've taken that passion and turned it toward paper crafting.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is the ability to connect with my customers and share in their life events. I've had the pleasure of making cards for women to give their partners to announce they're pregnant, made scrapbooks to commemorate a child's first year and more. Having some small part in making your occasion special is such an honor and I strive to ensure my products meet or exceed your expectations of quality.
I've always been the type to try to find the funny in any situation, especially the more difficult. A large portion of my greeting card line reflects this, offering what some may call inappropriate takes on situations. For instance, my newest Christmas line is based on a popular movie and features colorful language and themes. In this sense you can say I put a bit of myself in every card.
