Christmas Club Session 2
I am slightly terrified every time I go on Facebook. You see, my Aunt has been running a Christmas countdown since September. And in case you didn't know, we're at t minus 81 days til the fat man hits the rooftops.
In an attempt to stave off panic, I started my Christmas Club last month. Each month (Sept-Dec) we'll meet and put together 12 cards, ending up with a total of 48 to send out in early December.
This month's cards are all from the Merry Cafe stamp set. Today I'm sharing the two of the club projects as well as my first video tutorials. Enjoy!
The first project is as simple as it gets, but it stunning in that simplicity. When you're making Christmas Cards, it tends to be in bulk so the ability to pump a lot out in a short period of time is key. For the Christmas Club, we're making 12 cards in two and a half hours, so I'm designing the projects to be quick and easy while having a big wow factor.
Our 2nd project definitely looks a lot more complicated than the first, but goes together nice and quick once everything is cut. And of course, the Christmas Club has the advantage of having all materials pre-cut! Some simple dies set against classic Christmas colors offer a fun take on the holiday card.
A Few Simple Tricks to Step it Up
Depending on the time you want to invest (and the quantity you have to make), it's really easy to step this card up. You'll notice the first version of the card is using die cuts, while this version has been stamped, colored, and then cut. Small changes, big impact.
Head on down to the comments and let me know what you think of this month's selection. I'll be announcing an opportunity to win sets of some of the Christmas Club cards over on Facebook soon, so make sure you're following me over there!
